A Day in the Life of the Director Procurement – Material Change Ideation & Governance
As the Director Procurement – Material Change Ideation & Governance, you will drive the end-to-end process for Teva Global Operations (TGO) to identify, prioritize, and govern material change and technology transfer related cost reduction opportunities. Your work will directly support a cross functional process involving global procurement, finance, manufacturing, and supply chain with a strong focus on execution, financial impact, and long-term strategic alignment.
Your primary responsibility will be to develop and lead structured ideation cycles (annual/semi-annual), business casing as well as priorisation to establish and secure the saving pipeline and its implementation progress and ensuring a consistent delivery against the 3-Year Long Range Plan (LRP). The role owner leads the governance process and cooperates closely with teams in manufacturing, finance, supply chain and procurement.
You’ll play a pivotal role in transforming how we manage material costs across direct spend categories (APIs, Excipients, Packaging, Devices, Finished and Semi-Finished Products), helping to drive value through cross-functional alignment, clear governance, and actionable insights.
How You'll Spend Your Day
Ideation:
Develop and execute a robust process to ideate (semi-)annually to build and maintain a cost reduction pipeline for the 3 year LRP period.
Input is welcome from all TGO functions, while input from Global Category Strategies of Procurement will be instrumental, as well as recommendations based on Product Segmentation as well as Supply Reliability requirements of Global Supply Chain and robustness efforts of Manufacturing and/or Quality units.
Process, priorizations, documentation of decisions are key to set the basis for aligned execution plans and regular updates to management
Business Case:
Each project recommendation is based on a TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) related Business Case.
It is aligned with stakeholders and Finance especially and takes Quality, Cost, Supply Assurance into consideration as well as Product Lifecycle considerations
Governing the Execution Phase:
Monthly/Quarterly updates on milestones to update on progress, identify possible challenges early to mitigate.
Learn about deviation root causes and how to improve or avoid such situations.
Responsibility to deliver against the pipeline set
Data & Technology
Use existing data sources to create basis for regular updates.
Automate data collection and consolidation of data as much as possible to increase process robustness and reliability
