Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping
– Record monthly financial transactions in clients' books and records using QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
– Prepare monthly bank and credit card reconciliations for clients.
– Maintain payroll accounts, including tax deposits, payments, and correspondence with tax agencies.
– Prepare and file sales tax returns.
– Communicate directly with clients regarding bookkeeping, payroll, and tax matters.
– Prepare and file Forms 1099 and related information returns.

– Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
– Schedule client appointments and manage the firm's calendar.
– Track and manage the tax return preparation process from intake through completion.
Requirements:
– Previous experience as a Staff Accountant, Bookkeeper, or similar accounting role.
– Required: Intermediate to advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
– Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
– Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.
– Dependable, self-motivated, and eager to grow with a young and dynamic company.
– Experience with payroll processing, sales tax filings, and 1099 preparation is preferred.

– This position is with a U.S.-based accounting and tax firm.
– Working hours must align with U.S. Eastern Standard/Eastern Time (EST/ET), which is generally 7 hours behind Israel time.
