we are seeking a Software Engineering Team Leader to build and lead a new team from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to define the teams vision, hire and mentor top talent, and drive the execution of one of LayerXs most impactful initiatives.
As the owner of the teams roadmap, quality, execution, and velocity, you will collaborate closely with product, security, and engineering leadership to develop high-quality, scalable solutions. Reporting directly to the VP of R&D, you will also contribute to strategic company-wide projects and influence long-term technology direction.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience as a Software Engineering Team Leader in a SaaS company.
5+ years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer in a SaaS company.
Proven experience leading teams in a cloud-native environment, with a focus on microservices, distributed systems, and high-scale applications.
Strong technical background in AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development frameworks.
Exceptional mentorship and leadership skills, with a track record of growing engineers into strong contributors and leaders.
Ability to balance technical depth with high-level strategic thinking, driving both execution and vision.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
